Lotus Elise - Rescue Beauty Lounge

Today I have Lotus Elise. This is the last one I got during the Rescue Beauty Lounge promotion. It is a dark pink almost red jelly with glass flecks. It is pretty and the formula was amazing to apply.

I have some nail mail from ILNP on the way. I can wait to try it. I love sales, lol

Orly Mirrorball

Two posts in one day, I am a keener today. This is holo upon holo. Mirrorball is gorgeous. I was lucky enough to find this at Marshall's.

This is 3 coats. It didn't have the patchy application holos are known for. I only put this on today, so I am not sure of the wear time.

OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls

Today I have two polish posts. All the overtime I have been working lately I feel so go, go, go. This is My Boyfriend Scales Walls from the spiderman collection a few years ago. I got it on clearance at the Chatters below my work. It is a off white in the grey tones. Unless you are beside something white you can't tell. It is a cream formula and I have 3 coats

This is also the bf's favourite nail polish. I like how clean this looks when I am wearing it.

Pause-Rescue Beauty Lounge

Today I have Pause from Rescue Beauty Lounge. It is a lovely purple with a glowy shimmer. This is one of those polishes that glows from within. It is Sooo pretty.

Rescue Beauty Lounge Kellie Gonzo

Today I have a collaboration polishes from Rescue Beauty Lounge create by Kellie Gonzo from http://www.kelliegonzo.com. Her swatches are fabulous and I have definitely read the blog end to end before.
It is a coral colour with gold shimmer. It is so summery and fun.

I got it a few weeks ago during their buy 2 get 1 free promo. I can't wait to try the other two :)

Happy Halloweek! China Glaze Don't Let The Dead Bite

And by Halloweek I mean like 2 posts, lol. I wear all my polishes as manicures so I only change them every few days. I am not really doing anything for Halloween this year, but I am dressing up for work on Friday and hitting the clearance sales Saturday! Without further ado, here it is:

The Dead Don't Bite is a pinky nude jelly polish with red glitter. The nude is actually my mannequin hands shade. If you know of any dupes, please comment! The effect looks like blood splatter or scabs. Pretty Halloween-y!

claire's-Chromance

Today I have Chromance that I bought at Claire's. It is a teal to purple duochrome. This polish looks awesome. The best part is I managed to get an actual picture with the duochrome effect. I think I need a better set up soon, but the shower curtain helped bounce around the light

It is shown here layered over Sally Hansen XTREME Wear Black Out. One thing through, it is labelled as holographic, go home Claire's your drunk, lol. I think I may do an Icing post soon. There is one right below my work, so I pick up polishes there often.

Revlon Parfumerie Wintermint

My nail finally starting to grow out enough for polish again. This is a metallic green with gold shimmer and green her glitter. It smells like a sweet mint and has a glowy look

It also had a great formula and I hope to try more from this line.

Nails Inc Kensington High Street

Today I have Kensington High Street by Nails Inc. This is my first time with the brand and I think I am in love. It is like iron on my nails, no chips and still glossy

How cute is the crystal cap? I got it in a box set, all the bottles have corresponding crystal caps.

The only unfortunate thing is I some how ripped my one finger nail pretty bad :( the rest of the manicure except the one nail is still flawless, so I am now shamelessly wearing a bandaid!

Not that I am the most consistent with my posts, but it will be a while before I can start wearing polish again :(

Tantalize Me by China Glaze

This is the last of my China Glaze polishes that needed to be switched. I loved this colour in the bottle, unfortunately my skin tone didn't agree

I am also trying some new water marks, lol

Jawbreaker by Funky Fingers

Yesterday was my bf's Birthday. In honour of that I have Jawbreaker from Funky Fingers over Sally Hansen XTREME wear White On.

Original Pacific Blue by Sally Hansen XTREME Wear

I am huge blogging slacker, mainly because I have been wearing a lot of repeat colours lately. Today I bring you the original Pacific Blue. It is a pretty enough colour, but not really my style. I really only bought it because I know this version is no longer made. I also wanted to see what the hype was about.

It does live up to the hype, creamy pigmented almost one coater blue. My one finger chipped the next day, but still nice for 2.99 when on sale.

The Sky's My Limit by OPI

When I first saw the Mustang collection promos, I was not really too interested in the collection. The colours looked like a lot of things I have seen before. However The Sky's My Limit looked so nice. I missed out on the Charla / Catch Me in your net a few years back. From what I read online this one is more blue, however I knew I needed to get it. Again stalked (friendly, of course) the chatters below my work for about two weeks then they finally got it!

This on is a blue green glittery polish. Apparently I am feeling blogged inspired, multiple posts in one day!

Neon Spam part 2

Since it is summer, I have been addicted to neons. I recently got two Orly neons that are quite eye searing!

Orly Glowstick is bright neon yellow. It is very glowy and bright. 

Orly Beach Cruiser is a neon pink. I was on the hunt for a bright hot neon pink. Thanks to the polishaholic anonymous Facebook group for pointing me in the right direction! 

Funky Fingers Sand & Stilettos

My dad and sister bought me some funky fingers polish from the US. Sometimes I miss living close to the border.  I have a few photos of this beauty to show off the holo glitter.

My sister also picked this up for me! Matching sister's bracelets!

Ruby Pumps-China Glaze

Another lovely from the Wizard of Ooh Ahz collection. From what I read this is the only colour that made it to the core collection from the original release. I showed you Dorothy Who? a few posts ago and after I got that, I knew I had to get this one as well

It works great for Christmas nails too! They also ended up making an Emerald Sparkle, but I don't have it and it was never part of the original collection.

I am also working on swatching my whole collection by brand so there will be a lot of China Glaze for the next few posts, lol.

Neon Spam!

Although 3 polishes hardly make a spam, lol. I have switched a few of my Neons and thought I would do a post. I love Neons because they make me look more than :)

The only on missing is Japanese Kai by China Glaze. I really ever own orange for Philadelphia Flyers Nail Art, lol. I am glad we resigned Emery yesterday, now if the Jets trade rumours are accurate, I hope we get Byfuglien!

 Here is Pink Voltage from China Glaze. It is a neon pink with a slight blueish shimmer. The formula on all these Neons are the same, streaky. I usually do one thing coat and two thicker coats. This technique works for me :)

 Here is Flip Flop Fantasy. With my Neons I layer Ghoulish Glow over them. It gives them a little extra glow, especially at dusk.

This is Turned Up Turquoise. I haven't tried my glow top coat on it yet, but I can't wait to try it.

All the Neons dry with a matte finish, all are showed here with top coat.

nfu-oh 51

This one has been on my wish list for a while. I don't think I will ever pay for Clarins 230 so this is a nice alternative. It is gorgeous!

It is layered over Nubar Amethyst.

Saint George-A England

This polish was one of my lemmings, I got with my last order on NPC. It is an Emerald Green scattered holo. I love my holos! Unfortunately I have a bad habit of buying polishes that look best in the sun. It has been overcast for so many days :(

I also have another picture I took 2 days later when the sun was more vibrant.

The formula was amazing. It was a one coater. I never had a polish be this vibrant and complete in one coat. It also feels rock hard, like it would take extreme abuse to chip.

kb Shimmer-Stark Raven Mad

When I saw the early summer collection from Kb Shimmer making its way around I knew I needed to have it. I have a deep affection for anything holographic, whether linear or scattered. I already had Zoya Storm, a beautiful black  scattered holo which I will probably post at some point, but I really wanted a linear similar to the original OPI My Private Jet.

Since I started to get a lot of polish, I have been taking cell phone pictures to kind of document my polishes with pictures of my actual hand for my nail polish app. The bottle picture was taken on an overcast day. I really need to invest in a light box for pictures. Anyway, the wear on this was fabulous, so a few days later when the sun graced us, I shot a quick snap in the sun!

Dorothy Who? by China Glaze

I got my package in from Nail Polish Canada yesterday. I kind of threw in Dorothy Who? I have been reading some nail blogs beginning to end and read about The Wizard of Ooh Ahz collection. It was so cool that a brand would bring back a whole collection due to popular demand. I knew I wanted at least one and I noticed that it was still available on NPC. I am so glad I got it,

You probably hear all the time that photos really do not do it justice, cliché but true. In the light it looks like crushed sparkly gems. I also want to pick up Ruby Pumps!

OPI Today I Accomplished Zero

I was stalking the chatters below my work this past week for the Coca-Cola collection. After seeing all the swatches, I knew I wanted this beauty

It has a black cream jelly base with red glitter! I tried this over OPI glitter off. It lasted about a day, as the polish started to pop off the next day after I showered. Sure beat trying to get the glitter removed.

My first post

I am new to the blogging thing and I really like nail polish! I think I want to try to swatch all the polishes I have. This will give me an outlet so I can hopefully stop annoying co-workers!  I will include a picture of my first attempt at Nail Art!

Here is Sally Hansen Red Carpet with Sally Hansen White Nail Art pen.  It was for the Halifax Mooseheads 2013 Memorial Cup run! Which they won! 

Here I am in my Mooseheads shirt with the Memorial Cup! Unfortunately this year, we lost in the semis to Val D'Or.  It was a good series. This year the Edmonton Oil Kings won the Memorial Cup.
